Would you rather the USA spend a little more on health programs at home or send money to Africa?
George Bush cut AIDS funding (Ryan White Curriculum) down to a 3rd of it’s size in his first year… as a result, the number of HIV infections in the USA went up by 15%.
In his 3rd year, while running for re-election, he sent a few Million dollars to help the AIDS efforts in Africa… and there was no visible change in the HIV status of Africans.
Was your heart warmed by this act of compassion?
Do you judge that our Head should place America first?
Do you reckon that it’s better to give aid to HIV+ persons in Africa because you reckon they somehow deserve the disease less?
What about when Celebrities do the same thing?
Do the rules change when it’s charity and not tax money?
Bob – the increase in HIV was mostly among African American women… but nice effort at being homophobic about it.

An Epidemic Of Heart Failure
It starts already with the kids. Nowadays obesity is becoming a serious problem with the kids. It has been revealed in the survey that very nearly 65% of infant population is said to be suffering from obesity and its related diseases. According to the experts obesity is the base which leads to high cholesterol in the privileged ages. Lack of proper care and concentration over children always leads them to many diseases for which parents can’t even repent in the prospect. It has been noticed that heavy or overweight children are more prone to cholesterol and its related diseases. They not only suffer from cholesterol related but also from many heart and cardiovascular diseases.
The following information provided by the National Institutes of Health
Researchers now have what they see as proof of a heart failure epidemic. And they are issuing a call to action for health care systems to meet the need.
An estimated 4.8 million Americans have congestive heart failure (CHF). Increasing prevalence, hospitalizations, and deaths have made CHF a major chronic condition in the United States. It often is the end stage of cardiac disease. Half of the patients diagnosed with CHF will be dead within 5 years. Each year, there are an estimated 400,000 new cases.
CHF is the first-listed diagnosis in 875,000 hospitalizations, and the most common diagnosis in hospital patients age 65 years and older. In that age assemble, one fifth of all hospitalizations have a primary or lesser diagnosis of heart failure.
Visits to physicians’ offices for CHF augmented from 1.7 million in 1980 to 2.9 million in 1993. The financial and other losses of caregivers for these patients are generous as well.
The magnitude of the problem of CHF is generous now, but it is expected to get much worse because:
As more and more cardiac patients are able to carry on and live longer with their disease, their opportunity for developing CHF increases.
Prospect growth in the elderly population will likely result in increasing numbers of persons with this condition regardless of trends in coronary disease morbidity and mortality.

What is Heart Failure?
Despite the way it sounds, heart failure does not mean that the heart suddenly stopped effective or that you are about to die. Rather, heart failure is a common condition that usually develops slowly as the heart muscle weakens and needs to work harder to keep blood flowing through the body.
As more people carry on heart attacks but are left with weakened hearts, the United States faces a new and often misunderstood epidemic. The excellent news is that we now know a splendid deal more about heart failure and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
Signs and symptioms from “wikipedia” of decompensated heart failure include pulmonary edema (fluid accumulation in the lungs), ascites (fluid in the abdominal cavity), peripheral edema (fluid build-up in needy parts of the body). Other physical examination findings include rales heard on chest auscultation, an enlarged or pulsatile liver, and jugular venous distension. Reduced function in other organs can occur because they are not receiving enough blood. The patient may experience other organ conditions years previous to CHF is diagnosed.
Symptoms of decompensated heart failure include dyspnea (shortness of breath) on exertion, orthopnea (dyspnea that increases upon lying down), fatigue and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (“cardiac asthma”, shortness of breath that occurs hours or minutes after lying down).
Individuals with heart failure are sensitive to small shifts in their intravascular volume status (the amount of fluid in their circulatory system). Increasing the volume in their circulatory system can cause symptoms and signs of decompensated heart failure, while decreasing the volume in the circulatory system can cause hypotension.
Chest X-rays (CXRs) are frequently used to aid in the diagnosis of CHF. Signs of CHF on CXR are[1]:
Vascular redistribution
Peribronchial cuffing/interstitial edema (bat-shaped)
Kerley B lines
Consolidation of lower lung fields
Cardiomegaly
How Can I Prevent Heart Failure From Worsening?
Keep your blood pressure low. In heart failure, the release of hormones causes the blood vessels to constrict or tighten. The heart must work hard to pump blood through the constricted vessels. It is vital to keep your blood pressure as low as possible, so that your heart can pump effectively without extra stress.
Watch your own symptoms. Try out for changes in your fluid status by weighing yourself daily and checking for swelling.
Schedule regular doctor appointments. .
More Tips
Stop smoking or chewing tobacco.
Reach and maintain your healthy weight.
Control high blood pressure, cholesterol levels and diabetes.
Implementation regularly.
Do not drink alcohol.
Try out into natural remedies…to take along with your doctor’s prescribed medicines and treatments.
Try out out Dr. Barry Sears, he has done incredible work with hormones, tenderness, honey levels
Research the different health diets available.
Gather about your condition. Research what is available to help you control heart failure. Talk to others that are managing their condition successfully…what are they doing?
Gather to help yourself. Be an active partner in your own treatment!

Statistics Homework Help
It is right that among the many fields of applied mathematics, statistics is one of the most hard to hurdle for the average student. As a topic of fact, it will be one of the first application of mathematics that a student will take up because this subject is integrated into the young learner as early as the middle school curriculum because statistics help in the understanding of all the other complex fields of applied mathematics that he or she will encounter in the later years of formal education. And in the eyes and view of the growing learner, it will be very hard to immediately absorb a subject that will certainly require a different approach in studying as opposed to other subjects.
Thus, with statistics help is undoubtedly needed. Specifically, students need mediums and materials that will aid them in remembering the different basic aspects of the field. They will need help in memorizing formulae that will be taught to them. These students will also have to develop means to help them remember which formula is used in which problem or set of variables, which entails knowing by heart why each and every formula was made and what each of that is for in general and specific terms so they would not be confused as to apply the dozens of formulae that they will have to memorize.
Of course, the primary and most accessible form of statistics help that a student would get, provided that he or she is not capable of learning alone, would be the teacher. It is the responsibility of the teacher to determine not only the current amount of each and every release on of his or her student but rather their pacing for learning as well. Only the teacher can properly regulate the learning styles of these students directly so as to assure that these students will certainly gather what they need to gather at the end of this course. Up your sleeve from devising the proper amount of lesson plot, he or she must also give appropriate tests of measurement based on the educational amount of these children. Teachers must be excellent enough to give appropriate examples that they can tell to as well as keep discussions as appealing as possible. It is also the teacher’s job to provide other forms of statistics help to his or her own students.
Other caring mediums for learning statistics would be the proper references as well as teaching aids for the teacher. There are many applications and software that have been developed specially to teach students the basics of statistics in the most user friendly means possible. Also, statistics help tutorial programs should be instituted by academic institutions so that persons who need extra time on the subject can gather even outside the classroom.
Through these various methods of teaching and materials for statistics help, it will surely boost the assurance that the students will realize the learning goals of the course by the end of the term with optimal retention and flexible application for the next amount.
